I was catching up on my "All My Children" episodes tonight and I was treated to something you don't see very often in real life, but is a staple on soaps.
I saw Greenlee riding a motorcycle at high speed on a curving road at night in the pitch black, wearing a formal wedding gown, a black leather jacket and a pink helmet. And she ran said motorcycle over a cliff (in a true cliffhanger, since the ep ended there) after her best friend, Kendall, ran her off the road in her car, because she was driving too soon after her coma and heart transplant and was on the wrong side of the road because she and her husband, Zach, were fighting about the child he fathered for Kendall's sister, Bianca, and Bianca's lover and soon-to-be wife, Reece, who Zach had kissed just the night before.
Dude, this is the reason I so love soap operas. Well, this and the hunky guys. But the plots! I love the plots! I wish I were a soap opera writer. Talk about good times.

I just had to stop everything and make a minor home repair. I noticed the curtain rod in our bedroom was just about to fall off because the base had pulled out from the wall. So I grabbed the small screwdriver and socket set I keep in the bedroom (be prepared!) and made quick repairs. It's not easy doing something like that, though, because I was being careful not to wake hubby and holding a Mini Mag flashlight and making the repairs with the other. We'll see how long this lasts.
DD, your dog may have been mellow at the shelter, but he was pretty chipper when he went tearing after the pig, wasn't he? That said, I want to adopt an adult dog from the shelter as well. I just want something medium to small instead of large. I'm picky.
Hubby and I met his brother and wife for lunch today and had a nice time. Then tonight we went to a concert and had a great time. All in all, it was a nice Valentine's Day, especially since the sun was shining and the sky was blue.
I sliced some apples to put out for the robins. They are back in force and have been hanging out in our yard by the dozens, and since there aren't any worms or bugs available yet, the apples are a big hit with the robin crowd. They go after them so voraciously, they end up flinging them all over the yard. I've been pulling the ice out of my bird baths and the refilling them and the robins have been diving right in.

So one by one they turn from me
I guess my friends can't take the cold
But while I froze, not one among them knows
And never can be told
